Frequently Asked Questions
Do you have to be vegan to stay at Crotchet Barn?
No, you don’t! We welcome everyone to stay although we do request that whilst you are at the property you do not consume any animal products including meat, dairy, eggs and fish.
Do you accept dogs or other animals?
Sadly, we are not able to accommodate any non-human animals at this time.
Why do you not allow children under the age of 12?
Crotchet Barn does not have any internal safety features for young children and infants, or any equipment to help you care for your children. The Barn is also located on our working small holding/ food forest, which has spaces that may be hazardous to young children if they went exploring!

Check in is after 1600. Check out is before 1000.
How much is it to buy logs for the log burner?
All logs, kindling, firelighters and matches needed for the duration of your stay are included in the price. If you run out, just let us know and we will restock your supply. We provide clear instructions on how to light the wood burner too.
Is there parking?
There is free parking on site, right outside the Barn, for up to four cars.
Do you have electric vehicle charging points?
We do not have any electric vehicle charging points on the property. However, there are two charging points in the car park of the village hall which is about 1/2 mile away. They are for use by residents and visitors to Stoke St Gregory and are accessible via an app. The instructions for use are on the points.
